About My Choice
My Choice Community Development Inc. is known in the community simply as My Choice. My Choice is a nonprofit agency that has operated a very successful after-school program in the target area since 2003.
My Choice is a licensed non-profit after-school program in Riviera Beach. My Choice began as the My Choice Show (a dramatic presentation depicting the consequences of poor life choices) in 2002. The response was so great that the concept expanded to a more hands-on approach giving children more choices to choose from when making life long decisions.
My Choice after-school program was birthed in June 2003. In 2004, My Choice partnered with Florida Atlantic University's - CURE Department and received the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant for over $500,000. Also, in 2007, My Choice partnered with Children's Services Council and received a grant for over $300,000. The program currently serves 90 students daily, (ages 5-14), Monday through Friday.

Our Mission & Philosophy
Our mission is to provide quality after-school programming to children and youth that instill values, integrity and self-worth through education, thus strengthening the child, the family and the community.
We endeavor to do the following in caring for children:
- Provide a safe, secure, nurturing environment for children and families.
- Provide engaging, creative experiences and opportunities for children that are developmentally appropriate, and that encourage learning through play.
- Model respect for others through positive interactions.
- Allow each participant to grow individually.
- Develop in each participant, a positive self-image, and help each child see themselves as a worthy individual.
